“Young people must be honest and just”. Kalimat tersebut mengawali obrolan di sela makan siang bersama supervisor di lab.

~“Why young people? The elder should not be honest?”. Bukan demikian.

“When we were young, we eager to find our identity. By learning to be honest, we help ourself in the future”.

~“When we are older, you mean?”

“Yes. Just like me, I am older and I need years to understand the importance of honesty. If we are not honest, people will never trust or respect us”.

~“I’ve heard that one before, just like Albert Einstein’s saying: Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.”

“Indeed, young man. Education is the first door to get to honesty and justice. Learn in such young age and become wise elder people”.

Beberapa menit kemudian di laboratorium.

“So, are you ready to be honest now?”

~“How’s so?”

“Well, tell me honestly if you will be capable of finishing your experiment before end of August?  I need the data”.

Yaiks !

Kejujuran itu berat.
